You know, I've never been really good at filling out the "about me" portion of any profile. I never know what to say. There are many things that could possibly be said, and there are enough words in EVERY language to say anything and everything. That's the problem.
I suppose this section is to tell you a little about myself, but how much information should be given? If I give too much people will turn away. Not many like to read about my day to day life, *whispers* it tends to be a little boring. Yet, if I give too little people will turn away because they are not intrigued enough to continue on. Where should the line be drawn?
I guess since hubpages.com is about all forms of writing I should let you know about my aspiring career in the field of the printed word. Wether it be online or in physical form.
Are you interested yet? If not let me give you a little more info, and hopefully it's not too much or too little.
I am pushing thirty, gladly it's still a few years off. I'm not afraid of turning thirty, because with age comes wisdom, but one of my life goals is to have a book published by the time I turn twenty-nine, and that's closer than I like to admit. I've had a couple of opinion pieces published in a local lesbian magazine, which sadly has gone out of print. Now the majority of my writing is published here on hubpages.
What else should I say? Ah, yes, school. I am currently enrolled in an Office Professional Training program at Grossmont College. It will help me get a job so that I can afford to support my writing habit. I live with epilepsy and so I never know when a seizure will occur and ruin my day, on top of unknown medicinal side effects.
Another one of my life goals is to become the next great author, if I cannot be the next great author then I want to teach the next great author.
Lastly I would like to leave you with my final, and I feel most important, life goal.
I want to help change the world with my printed words.
I see the chaos and destruction in the world today and I know that I can have an impact, all of us can. If you do what you are best at in positive and non violent ways, you too can help change the world.
